Do you know the basics?

Your home is made up of several separate systems. The basics are that our SMART Program is the visual examination of these systems and provides a summary of the strengths and weaknesses of the building.

A professional inspector is trained to inform you of the present condition of the home and whether or not repairs or upgrades may be needed. In some cases the inspector can give you an idea as to how much life may remain in the particular system. In most cases, safety is the top priority.

Think of the inspector as a general practitioner. He or she cannot be an expert on each and every system in the home but does know enough to steer you out of trouble or possibly refer you to a specialist. If the house has a ‘cold’, you may all get over it in time, but if it has developed a life threatening illness, it may need reconstructive surgery or worse, a headstone worthy of your sizeable investment.

We invite you to follow along with the inspector to familiarize yourself with the systems and outcomes. Ask all of the questions you like. Ultimately, you will receive a functional report highlighting what you need to know, and when you need to know it.
