Data Management services provided by Compunite Enterprises Inc.

Compunite specializes in data management for local businesses. Reputable Home Inspections is one of our divisions, and thereby benefits from our expertise.

At Compunite, our focus is to provide answers and custom software or consulting solutions to local businesses struggling with spreadsheets and the like. Often, Excel is used to do things it wasn't intended for. Excel and other spreadsheets are not designed for storing lots of data.

Too much data entry!!! Users often play with colours and formatting to distinguish key information. They build the worksheets to collect many lists of information for the company but then find it virtually useless because they can neither search it properly, report it, nor ease their data entry burden. And the information can't be connected together.

In addition, they forget that, should the information be valuable down the road, they will be hard-pressed to have multiple users access the information at the same time. That's one of the functions databases allow for, and one of the features we plan for. Relational Database Management

Overall, data storage and retrieval is best performed by database systems. Sometimes database systems can be used right out of the box, like MS Access. Or they may require programming to achieve a more tailored result, like Microsoft's Visual FoxPro, our commercial-grade design choice.

The key to managing tons of information, is the Relational Database model. How data is organized in a Relational Database is drastically different than in a spreadsheet.

Understanding your information, future plans, and intended uses, are what we do best. We will determine the best way to store your information so you can enter thousands or millions, not hundreds, of records. Many users access Data Management systems from a laptop

In any case, it is our job to determine what the client is having problems with, and help them out. We are also happy to educate in the ways of Relational Database Management (RDB), and are fully aware that there are no dumb questions. Software is our job, not yours.

Data Management for Windows Operating Systems Businesses of all sizes can deal with lots of data. Yours is no exception. We are interested in hearing about your particular issue or spreadsheet dilemma. That's what we do!

Don't let terms like Data Management scare you off. Storing any information about your products, clients or even equipment is applicable.
