Of vital importance is that we will not align ourselves with any realtor. Alliances with realtors have been proven to promote biased inspections in the home inspection industry. Obviously such alliances pad the pockets of the inspectors as well as the realtors. If the inspector gets a lot of business from a select few realtors, does it not make sense that the inspection results would too often be favourable, and less than realistic? Since our business model excludes agents altogether, this is even less of a concern. The same is true for the trades. If we were to exchange business contacts with the same trade people over and over again, it could be suggested that phoney repairs are being introduced.
